The Assisi Hospice holds a yearly blockbuster event called the Assisi Fun day. This year, the Assisi Fun Day 2018 was held on the 24th of June at SJI International and there were over 150 participating stalls offering games, activities, and of course, food!! It was a fun-filled day filled with an extensive line-up of captivating performances, exciting games, and an abundance of delicious food. Ticket sales go towards supporting the patients at the Assisi Hospice, being a meaningful and enjoyable way to spend a beautiful Sunday.
Since 2011, our family has been helping at the Assisi Hospice Charity Fun Day. The theme for this year’s event was “Kampung Times”, and we are happy to be able to add to this kampung spirit through sharing our traditional goodies!
Other than our signature Tau Sar Piahs, we also sold other hot-favourites such as our “volcanos”, chicken pies, cheese tarts, kueh bahulus, freshly-baked cookies, as well as our fried fish balls and chicken wings.

Every year, the Assisi Fun Day will be a busy day for all three generations of the family. Some will be at the fun fair venue manning the stall, some will be at 603 Tau Sar Piah to help with the baking, while others will run to-and-fro to help with delivery (ensuring the piahs are freshly baked and hot!) Still, it is always heart-warming and a great joy to have everyone work together, especially towards a meaningful cause.
Thank you for your support at the Assisi Fun Day 2018! Hope you had as much fun as we did and see you again next year!
